Two years ago I started my own business designing and building custom robotics and automation. I found that running your own business requires working many long and crazy hours. One Sunday near the end of a long week I decided that I needed some motivation. So, I stopped at the Chevy dealership at test drove a 2SS. The salesman was a college kid who told me to drive the crap out of it. I did. When I shifted into 2nd and spun the tires. I was hooked.

I found Camaro5 and spent many hours readying through the post here. This site rocks. After a lot of research, I settled on a IOM 2SS RS. I ordered it from Rick Hendrick in Duluth Georgia. They were great to work with. They gave me a good deal without a lot of hassle. It took about 7 weeks to get the car. It was built on 8-18-2010.

I ordered the car without any stripes, because I knew that I wanted to add my own. I was not sure what I wanted, But I wanted something different. I spent countless hours looking at custom stripes and paint jobs. I built a folder with pictures of cars I liked. I also made a few photoshop pictures to be sure I liked the stripes, before I painted the car.

Below are a few pictures of the car during the painting process.

The paint was done at American Resto Mods in Buford GA. I enjoyed working with these guys. They have a nice website that shows a lot of their work. It is interesting to look through the cars that they have restored and modified. Their website is www.americanrestomods.com.

Very nice job, I like the front SS emblem.
