What hood heat extractors when Rally stripes are installed - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I like the HEX-VENTS, but not sure they are still in business. I emailed them and called them. No activity on here or FB since last year. What else looks good with factory Rally stripes? If you have a pic, please post it.

My self I would go with 2014 heat extractor, or do a ZL1 hood with the stripes flowing thru the heat extractor section.

If you do the '14 Heat extractor I can give you a template for cutting if you're gonna do it yourself. Another member gave it to me so passing along

do you have any pics of your hood with it or did you not do the extractor?

Tried for couple days and no luck with reaching HEX Vents, so now i am thinking of the 2016 SS vents.

Here is my hood, mine has wide stripes

hex vents are most definitely still for sale. I had to go to a (tiny) bit of effort to get in touch with them, but I received my set about 2 weeks ago...now they're sitting in my garage waiting on me to find the time for an install...

Here's how to get in touch with them - call (800) 756-7107, push whatever option it is to "speak with a sales rep" and you'll either get an answer, or a VM. I left a voicemail, and had a call back in ~2 hours from Steve. Talked for a couple about what options I wanted, and placed my order. Received them 5 days after I ordered.

Be sure to tell them you heard about them here on the forum.

weird, just got a text from them. Says they are available still. I may drive to them depending on the price and have them install them. They are 3 hours from me. I think i want them painted first to match the stripe. Probably do the screen the blue to match the car.

Did yours come with the new type of water deflector?

Since i dont think they can match the stripe color i will go with the body color for now. He gave me what i feel is a good price to install it for me. I just have to drive 3 hours each way.

out of curiosity, what's he charging you to install? I keep trying to find the time to do it, but with 2 kids, and a 1-1.5 hr commute to/from work every day, spare time is hard to find. Been thinking about calling around to a few body shops to get an estimate, but don't have any idea what a fair price would be. it's cool if you don't want to share, or shoot me a pm, but figured I'd ask...
