Raised White Lettering on tires

Few questions.

1. Does anyone know if they will offer smaller rims so raised white letter tires would fit?

2. I would like to know if anyone has also heard of getting smaller rims although would like to be able to get wider rims? It seems cost savings for getting new tires would also be cheaper. It also seems like now a days there are too many BIG wheels with no sidewalls and I'm not liking those styles.

3. Off questions here.
A. What is the reason why wheels have to be higher?
B. Does this give the car more handling ability?

You can always hit the existing sidewalls up with some white touch up paint. Doesn't take long, and you'd just have to apply it while detailing your wheels. Don't have any pics, but my friend did this to his mustang at it looked goooood

Imagine cheepo latex paint would work well also, if not better

You will probably have to paint them yourself. There are some paints that work well on rubber. Lerger wheels are put on so larger brakes can be used. The size of the rotor and thickness of the calipers will dictate the smallest wheel you can use. 18" is probably the smallest size that will clear the brakes, but nobody will know for sure until cars hit the streets.

I had raised lettering on my '74 and it looked OK, but wouldn't do that to 2010.

I've always liked the look of white letter tires, it would be interesting to see how they would look on the new camaro.

They do sell a specific paint pen for this purpose.

I do know there are no performance all season or summer tires with white letters that would fit even 18 inch wheels , let alone the 20's that the SS has. I am not even sure if they offer White letetr in 17 inch either, its likely the largest is 15 or 16. There are definitely white letter truck tires in those sizes, but I would hope noone here would like to cruise down the road on a set of Dualer A/Ts.

I think with the right tire and wheel combo including tire size and wheel offset this could look good. Give that car the Grand touring look if you are in to that sort of thing.
