I voted for #1 because I think it should be a 'base race car' like feel. I don't think a bigger engine is really needed once they shave some weight from it, but I do think they could improve the power a tad on the LS3 as is for the 1LE. Much like Ford upped the power on the 5.0 for the BOSS over the GT.

Ok, not exactly like the concept, but enough to keep the excitement...
I would like it to start with a 1ss and give options to build from there. Rear gear choice, engine mod choice, exhaust and suspension choice. It seems we have all been chasing the HP and these are the MODs that cost the most. To be able to have them bundled in for finance and warranty would be awesome. Just as GM was surprised with the majority of sales being V8s at the beginning, I think they will see a huge lift in profit margin due to the ala cart options. I know I would have installed rear gears and a cam at the start if I could have financed it all together.

Fbodfather,
Thank you for reaching out to the community and asking our thoughts on the concept you have shown. I believe your concept car dubbed "1LE" as shown would make an excellent production car. I have been waiting for such a model while currently driving the 2011 LS. I enjoy the base model amenities, and am not interested in a performance driven model having 2SS options. I hope the 1LE would be similar to the LS in that way to help keep the costs down. If Chevrolet builds this car, uses the Z/28 nameplate, and offers some version of blue as a color option, then yes, I will buy one. |

The Z28, not the 1LE, should have ZL1-like suspension and braking with a hotter LS3. It will be lighter than the ZL1 and handle great. Revise the bumper, hood, spoiler, rims, and give it some full length Z28 stripes. If you really want to use 1LE, make the Z28 1LE a low content, even more focused version of the Z28 without a back seat and such, like a track car.

I'd rather have adjustable coilovers than magnetic ride and it should be cheaper for the consumer. Although they may want to make it idiot proof for the masses which means no adjustability that requires common sense to use.
