Like I said, I've driven the Viper it's unbelievably uncomfortable to me....but some people don't mind or aren't bothered. I'm too fat I guess

Stock vs stock, a TA will run away and hide from our cars with equal drivers in the cockpits.
Also depends on who's driving. For example I could blow away my wife in a Viper with medriving an LS.

The steering was VERY heavy, the nose is VERY long, the car road way, way rougher then my ZL1 and when I got out I burned the SHIT out of my leg.

Not my type of car, I'm very very happy with my ZL1 I bought for 48k.
Yes, this is the truth about vipers.
When i go drive one whole day with my 2001 rt viper its the same when i make an half day sport.

Its really hard to drive this beast, for this reason is one clear: viper is for men. Not for puss...

Sorry, but i love my viper.

But the zl1 is so smooth to ride. Not to compare with an viper. This are really two very different worlds

Plain and simple - the Viper is about as close to a full-on street legal race car that you can get.

And, it's not for everyone. But man, they are sick.

Gotta say though that I have yet to pass another ZL1 on the street either. At least around here, the ZL1s are beyond scarce, just like the Viper.

I would personally just take my ZL1 to Hennesey for 15k and get the 750hp package. The 750hpe package can the quarter mile in under 11 seconds faster than the viper and Z06!

I really love Muscle Cars, that's why I could never own a sports car like the Corvette or Viper. There sick cars but american muscle all day!

at one of our local camaro5 meets here in savannah we had 5 ZL1s. and just recently my twin moved to town. so ive been wanting something else now. not so much about speed. hell i'd buy a lamboghini diablo if it was the same price range.

its about people knowing you would spank them, not actually spanking them.

even with the new Z06, you still pass a C7 multiple times a day. passed one or 2 vipers so far this year. that's more of what im talking about.

After going for a ride in a buddy's '14 viper I decided to take a more serious look at getting into a viper. Amazing cars however as mentioned on here very different from our ZL1s. I have a deposit on one and weighing the pros and can before pulling the trigger. The vipers simply put, are just very raw, it is a drivers car. I took the wife on a test drive two days ago and all I heard was, "it's too loud, it's too rough, the interior isn't as nice as the ZL1.....", and if someone feels this way about the car now they will likely hate it later. Anyway, it is loud, it is rough, it is hot, etc and one of the many questions is does the rawness, performance, exclusivity, and attention grabbing nature of the car offset some of the "perceived" negative points? Overall... I think so.

Yeah, I live in the SF Bay Area and I've only seen one and he lives a few houses down :( hahaha I wonder if he's on this forum.

Anyone here live in Pacifica with a 2014/2015 Black ZL1?

Even though he had his first, I feel my style has been cramped...

Good point. It is for these reasons that I bought my 2013 Shelby GT500. I realized later it was not for me and bought my ZL1.

However if I could own a Viper and a ZL1 I'd do it. If I could only own one... Yeah, I'd get the Viper hahahah! its a Viper!

But Viper's show their age more than a ZL1.
ZL1 will look good and muscley 10 years from now, but a Viper will look like an old sports car.

I went and looked at a 14 viper SRT the other day. Wasn't my color of choice. But got to sit it in and get the feel. I def think I can make due with a new viper. Just need to sit and wait for the right color and price.

I have my Z listed in the classifieds. I don't expect to sell it to a member on here. Will most likely be a local when I decide to list it in my area.

Viper all the way... Easy easy choice. But as a die hard Chevy guy I still gota throw out there that you should check out C6 ZR1s and C7 Z06s as well. But as much as I love Chevy, the new Vipers are so amazing it still would be a hard choice between Viper or C6/C7.
