eBay Aftermarket Wickerbill
Would anyone have any first hand knowledge about the quality of this aftermarket wickerbill?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/401274402903?ul_noapp=true They have confirmed for me that their photos are of the OEM unit, but swear their unit, made of polycarbonate, is 100% the same. Logically, I always wonder why if they sell a 100% similair reproduction they don't provide photos of THEIR product? Meanwhile -- if anyone has a genuine GM wickerbill (or wheel set) please let me know. |

This one is cheaper, from a great company and is wonderful. I love the clear section as you actually can see out of it through the back window. And Yes I have this one on my car.

Thanks Frenchsquared... looks like a nice unit.
Not to be picayune, but given GM went to great lengths for precise aerodynamics balance, how do we know whether these aftermarket wickerbills get mounted too high, not high enough... etc. Who is too say a GM unit wouldn't be mounted too high or too low? Like I said, I realize to many this is splitting hairs, but I do wonder if GM had specific requirements on their cars for mounting? I would like the wickerbill for when I am blasting up the esses at Watkins Glen and VIR at over 100 MPH and not for the look. Just thoughts... Anyone chime in. |

Biergut, you hit NJMP at all? I’m about an hour away. I’m usually there many times during the year.

I believe factory one is adjustable. Any of these are very easily adjustable. Would take a few minutes to elongate the holes. I know I am not a good enough driver to tell a difference in the wing moving up or down 1/4 of an inch. I would be surprised if anyone in this forum could and I know there are some great drivers in here.

Yes, sir. It's 2:30 for me, usually only there a few times a year. We'll have to coordinate an event. I've always been a PCA guy, however, I am one of NJMP's approved track day instructors so there is plenty of opportunity to pick up a day here and there. |

In the end, however, it's not a huge deal, rather a nice to have and not a must have. Hopefully, with luck, I'll source a factory wickerbill in time. |

I may add that the OEM wicker is made of a heavy gauge pre shaped curved aluminum, not plastic.
At NJMP the wicker is definitely faster. The car would probably do even better with a wing. |

Interesting pic showing how much work the wickerbill is doing... I believe I was doing roughly 100mph when this was taken.

I'd like to run with Moe next year. I didn't manage to get one of his events this year but will try next year. I'd rather run the straight to 3 but could be fun the way you guys run it

Great Pic ! The wind flow showing off that wickerbill is really cool ! Mine is still in the box in the garage... This pic really motivates me to install it !
