need help - street slicks

What is a good tire/rim combo. Have a M6 V6 with bolt ons and suspension work. Want to buy street slicks to hook up at the track. What would be a good tire that will give me good traction ? See my signature for mods.

Lower the air pressure on your tires. You don't need drag radials or slicks.

But if you must have them Weld RTS or bogarts wheels 17x10 17x5s
with maybe a 295/45/17 MT or 325/45/17 M&H and M&H front runner tires.

LOL, and lightly modded V6 does not need drag radials or slicks, like Jamie said lower your tire pressure and learn to leave the line correctly and dump the clutch at 4500rpm

I'm sure with the wrong type of launch, even a V6 will spin some.
Best thing for you is to learn how to launch with your M6. It shouldn't take much to get it down. Just practice and you will improve.

4500? Dude I would do a retarded smoke show and go nowhere for about 5 seconds even if I held at 4500 without giving it more gas. V6's can do a smoke show almost as well as the V8.

I would run drag radials, but I would first check to see if your car has an open differential. If it does, and I'm not totally familiar with the V6 models, I'd suggest procuring a posi/ limited slip type diff like out of an SS first.
