help with Catch Can selection

Ok, so I finally sent in my buyout payment, I don't have the title yet but the car is mine now, no longer a lease.

So we start with the first mods. Which will be a catch can.

I know there are a ton off catch can related post on this forum and too be honest I am more confused after reading them. My question isn't whether I should get a catch can, I know that I should. But rather, my question is which catch can?

Now i've done a lot of googling and found many catch cans at many different price ranges, from cheapo ebay models to expensive Elite Engineering, RX, and beyond.

I don't track my car, it's a daily driver, BUT, I do drive it like I stole it on many occasions. So what catch can should I be getting? Opinions please.

Also, I will be looking to paint the catch can to match my car color. Does anyone have experience painting their catch cans? Using VHT Engine enamel.

Elite engineering catch can is the way to go. I bought the basic one bc that was all they invented at the time. It collects a lot of oil and I don’t even ride my car hard at all. But they do have more choices now and they come in a variety of colors. Not sure on yellow tho..

Elite plus clean your intake valves while you’re at it:

https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288997

I had 20k miles when I first did and my intake valves were caked with oil. I put an elite can on it right after cleaning it:

Elite Engineering - 2nd Gen Catch Can - 2010-2015 Camaro V6 - E2302B-LFX-RH-S-C
Colors
Black
Exit Port
Single Exit Port
Upgraded Hose Options
No
Elite Engineering Check Valve
No Check Valve
Clean-Air Oil Separator
Yes

I recommend not doing a rattle can job. It never comes out how you want it to. Find yourself a local powdercoater and see if they can powder coat it the color you want. It’s typically cheap to do,very durable, and lasts a long time.

Thanks guys just ordered the elite yesterday. Don't know if I will be able to clean the intake though for a while. I just don't have time for it right now. 2 kids on swim teams don't leave much time on the weekends for personal projects this large.

On a side note, why does NJ have more toxic waste dumps and CA have more lawyers?

NJ had first pick.
