Flattest flat in the history of flats
Picked up a 3" drywall screw. On labor Day weekend. Had to try the compressor and gorilla snot shot, no joy.
Off to find a tire place on the Sunday before labor day!

Try sears, they're usually open on Sundays.

In fact, I ended up at Sears. the other two places were "open" in the sense that somebody or other assumed workers would be there. Customers yes, employees, no.
Five hours later the saga ends. Wow. Back in the day this would have taken ten minutes. TPMS seems OK though, luckily.

No, luckily it went flat while parked at my god-daughter's grandfather's house, so I left it there overnight and took the wheel off this morning.
I haven't had a flat tire since 1998! Quote:

Well, the rest of the story is that when I looked and saw the drywall screw, I also found, um... three nails in the tire too. No kidding. Old, worn down, and rusted. So I took the tire in.

Were they able to fix, or did you have to replace tire? Hopefully former!

Not like it was bad enough with the drywall screw, you had to have nails in it as well. At least you got it repaired. |

This just brings back prior post of those who think a flat tire is a few minute fix, as I quote some, (thats what OnStar is for) and that the goo will work or the patch kit will work.
Seems you were close to home when it happened.
