Lowering springs questions.

Hey guys thinking of lowering my 2013 1le. I want it to sit low but not too low. Ride as close to stock as possible. Let me know what you guys recommend!

Lowering springs

I just lowered my SS 1.4” front and 1.2” back with no issues. I spent a day at the track last week without any problems.

I have BMR 1" and while they get a little rough on big bumps it's not bad. Cruising around without bumps feels like stock.

I have a 13 ss that was lowered by a shop. Make sure the bushings are all clocked which makes a big difference on the ride. I found out by doing it myself after their install and it made a big difference.

Does alignment do this type of thing?

We usually recommend BMR or Eibachs. The Eibachs offer a 1" drop which isn't to aggressive but it's enough to give you a great look.

An alignment will not loosen all the suspension bushing connection points.

Who does this then?

Just picked the car up after lowering it, new wheels, and brakes.

1.25” is pretty low! There’s barely two fingers gap left and it hasn’t set yet.

A reputable shop can. I did my own on the rear. Loosened all moving suspension connections slightly, moved car back and forth in driveway a few times. Retorqued all connections to spec.
Check with the installer and maybe they already did it. It really smoothed out a terrible ride for me.

JPSS (Camaro suspension masters) recommend Detroit Speed springs..

I went with the Eiback Pro+ kit to get rid of the fender gap. Looks great but the car rides like a lumber wagon
