I made the 2 hour drive to the nearest tuner and they spent the afternoon going through the tune and ended up getting me 40hp and 40tq, and the car drives much better.

My question is after the new tune I keep getting codes for both banks running lean, but the LTFTs never go above 24.2. Also if I'm on boost for more than a couple seconds the service stabilitrack message comes up and traction/stability control shut off. I Also will still very randomly get the pedal/throttleposition code (p0121).

Is there anything specific I can tell the tuner to look for to fix these problems? I'd try to find a different one but I live in BFE and there just aren't any around.
You can't really get into this sort of thing via a few posts on a forum and to be honest I am not the guy

This kind of thing can't be sorted out with generalized posts here on the forum. Even though you don't have many options locally, I would recommend getting with someone like Matt Sorian or Ted Jannetty work on your tune remotely.

Is a mail order tune from someone knowledgeable better than a local tune from a general car shop?

General repair shops typically are not set up to do performance tuning. You need to go to a reputable performance shop.

Contact Ted Jannetty at JRE... he can set you up with a great tune via email.

Actually you're about seven hours from JRE. Go and get it tuned on his dyno.

Either way, Ted can definitely take care of you. Tuning makes such a huge difference for the L99 cars. You will be glad you did it.

Can you explain the differences or advantages /disadvantages If I were to tune My SS for 87 octane or 91 octane? I always run 93 currently but I wondered why I would want to tune for a different octane?

More octane = more hp. The downside to tuning for higher octane is you *must* always use the higher octane.

Great info a must read for any car enthusiast!
I'm very, very new to this so please bear with me. I wanted to ask when I hear that a tune can be sent by e-mail does that include a list of instructions, software or what info is it? I thought a tune included the car on a dyno.

The screen captures that you showed is this where changes are made by selecting and deselecting options?

Thanks for any help!

I researched a bit and understand better now how a tune can be done remotely and a dyno isn't required.

Things have came a long way since adjusting with a tach and dwell meter!

Yes they have. You can really get down to fine detail these days and with some of the technology on the horizon it is only going to get even better.
