It's only the second day of meteorological spring and we're already looking at several days of 60-degree temperatures next week, and not ruling out a spike into the 70s!

I daily drive my camaro and the salt is horrendous. I spend the $45 for a 5 wash book at a local touch free car wash. They usually scrub your car with brushes but wont if you ask them not to. Gotta get that underbody spray to keep the rust away! I end up going twice at least twice a week if they keep salting the roads. Even this past week I had to go again because there's so much salt left on the roads. Can't wait until the street sweepers sweep it all up. But I also still have my snow tires on. Feels like i just put them on so i can't justify spending the money to have them switched again.

Just a heads up to those that use car washes touch less or otherwise. The water is 90-95% recycled from previous cars that wet through. It spends a little time in large tanks to let the heavy particles settle out but you are still getting blasted with water you wouldn't use if washing by hand. The undercarriage wash from the cars before you are going on your paint!

Well I guess I won't be going to touch free washes anymore lol. Thanks for the heads up. It's nice enough now for a clay bar though! Gonna have her looking like glass

Finally! After last night's prolonged rain, the salt was gone. My Camaro went for its first ride of the year this afternoon. A full four weeks earlier than last year and the year before.
Yet, I have not "summerized" the snowblower just yet, being a lifelong Masshole who knows that Winter doesn't end until at least April 15. |
