Help a member with the removal of the front splitter on a ZL1

I am trying to help out another member OVERPAR73 He wants to know if anyone has instructions or a link to step,by step instructions so he can remove his front ZL1 splitter so he can send it off to have it dipped. pls either post it here or just send him a PM. we looked and there didn't seem to be any info on it on you tube or google. thank you.

I just replaced my splitter last weekend. Couldn't find any instructions but it's actually pretty simple. Assuming he knows how to remove the bumper, that's the first step. Then, remove all the Torx screws along the front edge. Then, remove the foam bumper support from the inside via the clips. Then there are 4 7mm screws that will be removed (the reason for removing the foam support is to access these screws). Then pop the 8 or so clips off around the splitter and it will slide free. I had mine replaced on and off in about 2 hours.

Here is a pic of the bumper without the splitter. You can see all the screws along the edge I am talking about:

Thanks so much. That's what I was afraid of as far as having to pull the bumper.

The bumper is really not that bad. Take the tires off and the wheels liners out and it's really easy. It can be done without removing the wheels and liners, but it makes it much easier. I can remove the bumper in about 30 minutes now.

While you have the front bumper off you can install those cool ass JDP halos and grill lighting...
