Adjustable Sway Bar settings

I've heard conflicting recommendations as to how to setup the sways (front and rear). I have the BMR (3 settings) adjustables. I've heard to loosen them up for autocross so the car can dip and put more weight on the outside tire to keep it planted and not skip/slip. Then, there's set it to the tightest setting so it doesn't swap/dip to keep even traction when turning tight? I've also heard that the tower strut hampers autocross due to less body flex. What gives?

I'm going to be in the same boat here soon with the Hotchkis I ordered. The front is set and not adjustable. I've read that you set the front to stiffest wanted then dial in the rear from the loosest setting first. This creates understeer first then should come into balance as you stiffen the rear to your conditions.
There's track guys here so I'm subbing this thread.
