What say ye to a ECC meet in June in OBA???

Def Leppard and Heart are playing at The Wharf in June 19. Scott@Bjorn3D put a post up in another thread about getting together in OBA and I told him I would feel you guys out. The only kicker is that is a Sunday concert and most folks may have to work on Monday. So what about a Sat/Sun meet with the concert closing it out? We could cruise to Ft. Morgan on the west end of the island (about 50 miles round trip) on Saturday and then over to the Fairhope Pier on Mobile Bay Sunday for a brown bag lunch on the lawn and be back in OBA in time to freshen up and rock out! I've got a favorite watering hole and a place we can all do dinner Saturday night should you choose.

I've checked with my local hotel hook-up at the Island House Hotel (only hotel I use in OBA) and got a group rate of $159 a night (dbl queen beds or one king) including 2 tickets to the concert with a 2 night minimum . I know you say that rate is high, but remember, it is summer time and the rates are usually $199 a night, the hotel is nice (pool/bar/cafe/secure parking) and you are getting to 2 tickets that go for $65 a piece. All we need is a minimum of 6 rooms booked to get this group rate.

Just a thought for a gathering. Yes, no, either way I'm going to the concert!

Damn closing got delayed until Monday, and that was part of why I couldn't go out there.

It was a pleasant surprise to meet up with Tusk & Mimi, and Regina & her husband (kinda forgot his name, haha) in traffic today! Last night was prom, so we all decided to go and hit the beach today! Sorry i missed the dinner thing, i hadn't seen it on here soon enough prior to making other plans..

It was good to meet Tusk and Mimi a week or so back. They dropped a card off and let me know about the group. Thx guys! Sitting in Qatar at the moment waiting on a ride to my final destination. At least I got to do a few mods and drive the car for a week before leaving.
