Sick of Dumb Dealers !

I swear if car dealers don't start making sure their employes know what cars they actually sell and for that matter exsist I'm going to have an anerism,

So today I go into my local chevy dealer to put a deposit down to secure my spot to order a ZL1 when ordering is opened in November ( or whenever it is ).
So I walk in and my guy I usually work with is on a leave for vacation, so I ask to speak to the head of the sports car division, well he's out for the day.. But one of their "knoledgble sales men" can be with me right away.
Well I tell this guy exactly what I wanna do and he looks at me puzzled and then says "ohh no problem" we sit down and he says he needs to get the info I want on the car for the order, so he pulls out an order forum at witch point I think where did this ding bat get an order forum for a Zl1 from considering the rest of the world donsent have one. So after him asking me about options and me answering and I even said I wanted the black SSX wheels not the polished aluminum and he nodded.. (god only knows what he checked off for that?) he finally hands over the sheet off his clip board for me to sign.. Well what do you know it's an order forum for a ZR1 Corvette. I even used "CAMARO" only about 35 times throughout him asking me options... Then when I explained what I was trying to do he looked at me puzzeled and told me that didn't exsist, to witch I just walked out ,Il go back Tommorow.

This is the same dealer that the head of matinece asked me how the 7.0L performed when I Droped of my SS for service... I feel like to work in a car dealer ship today u just need a brain, well actually maybe not. Maybe just a heart beat.

Not saying everyone is, I've met lots of great car sales men that actually take pride in their job, but I've also met a bunch that dont know a car from a tree

You need to find another dealer and write the General Manager. Tell him all this. Keep I'm mind the salesperson selling you your Camaro was selling Hondas last week and TVs the week before. It's a shame.

Im sure your talking about Classic Chevy in Sugar Land...lol They have lost my business at the service department forever! Sales was actually a very good experience for me, so I actually might go back to them from my future chevy purchases.

Yeah my dealer is good but he even told me i know more about the camaro then he does good guy wont f(&& me over but he don't know a whole heck of a lot about camaros lol. So i am teaching him he also told me he only sold a total of 5 <.< i was the only one he sold and that was from may 29th. Though i know he would get my order right i would make sure of it. He treats me well always does good and listens to me talks to me so. I find him a good dealer even 4 mouths later we still chit chat

It is funny. You want a ZL1. We all want a ZL1. Nothing new there.
But maybe I am as dumb as the dealer.
How can you walk to get in a "invisible" line that does not even exist, for a product that does not even exist and for a product that is not even purchasable?
Irregardless if you have cash money right now, but why not get in the same line the rest of us will get in when there is a real line, and when there is a real product that can be ordered/or purchased?
I am sure the dealer knows that your money will spend just as well as the next person.
Good luck in Oct when you can order one though. What color are you plan on ordering or buying just curious? The black wheels will be standard on your new ZL1 and you wont even have to tick the box that says optional polished aluminum wheels. IMHO, it won't even do any good to complain about this sort of stuff. It will go in one ear and out the other. Wish you the best.

Each Dealer (like this one) are only getting 2-4 ZL1s when they come out, The "line" i am getting into is a $500 Fully refundable Deposit to have my name added to a list of First Orderers. It insent not real, they already have 3 and il be #4, its basically a list of the people that are getting first orders out.. they guy wasn't saying this list doesn't Exists, but that a ZL1 as a whole was not a real thing. As in he didn't know the car was even coming out.

As far as spelling. sorry i went on this little rant last night @ 11 with an iphone and huge hands, didn't know my grammar was being analyzed. And im not trying to "bash" anyone, i even said that ive met a lot of really good guys that are sales men, and this particular dealer is great as far as quality and costumer service. Im just saying some people should not be aloud to be car salesmen. If the average Joe knows more about the cars he's selling then him...?
