Sick of Dumb Dealers !

I wound up with this kid at my dealership when I ordered my new vert back in August. He wanted to see my car. I told him it was a 2010 2SS/RS. He said about 3 times that it was a 1SS. I started to get angry because I knew the difference. He said the 2SS's have heads-up display and mine doesn't so it's a 1SS. I'm starting to get insulted and have to inform him with an elevated voice that wasn't an option for 2010 and that the 2SS emblem is red and the 1SS emblem is white! He quickly turned me over to someone else who knew more about Camaros, thank goodness, because I was about to walk out. But the little brat got a cut from the deal just because he talked to me first.

If I were a car salesman, I'd be studying everything there is to know about the cars I was selling.

I had the same issue when I shopped for an 0-12 Chrysler SRT8. The salesman I spoke with knew squat about them, so lucky for me he took off for lunch just as I arrived at the dealership and I got his partner who did know....

My advice to you would have been to wait until the guy in the know came back. They WANT A SALE! In our impatient world, they give you someone "right away" and that person was obviously not the one you wanted...SOoooooo, patience my friend..Sometimes pays off...You may have been looked after just fine...by the right guy!

And to Everyone else, im sorry if iv'e offended anyone. i know that some people take some threads way differently than they were intended to and some don't ( As seen in this thread ). I was not trying to bash anyone except maybe the guy that didn't know a Cruze from a Camaro. The only reason i continued on with him once he was asking options was because they were extremely vague options (Colors,interior colors,Ext) and i saw on here that a member was asked a few questions like this when putting his name on a List. And i did clarify many times it was a Camaro, i used Camaro and Z*L1 many times and it never phased him. All i was trying to get across was that i think some people just should not be working in car Dealerships. Iv'e had countless occasions like this through out my life with everything from BMW to Chevy. I just wanted to share this one incident because it had to do with a Camaro and ended up to be quite Funny.. Again, Sorry to those that are offended or those of you that find it Mind boggling to put a word together with out perfect spelling.
