A R8 V8 runs a 12.8 in the quarter mile. Stock LS3 territory. The V10 made by Lamborghini is another story.

Happened the same to me this afternoon.. We stop side by side on a traffic light... I've arrived faster to the next one.. The guy gave me a thumbs up.. I've rolled down my window and asked if it was a v10 or v8.. He answered v8.. So I guess camaro is faster.. But he could be just a bad pilot..

The Audi is nice but at that price range so many better performing and looking cars for less. ZR1, GTR Nismo, Viper ACR to name a few.

yep, doesn't take much to beat the v8 model. Probably takes less than a Zl1 to walk one

I absolutely love R8s. I think its awesome how they use an old school gated shifter. Looks so badass.

It was probably a v8, you would know if it was the v10. The power delivery is very pesky in those cars. You would probably take it off the line with the gobs of torque we have down low but then once the v10 starts screaming it should just whiz on by.

I lead a sheltered life out here in the country, never heard of the R8 'til this thread.

I'd take a R8 over my ZL1 only if it was given to me. Then I'd sell it, get a ZL1 + mods or a Z06 and pocket the difference. Yes, I like that outcome and I consider myself sane...
