Because of the flake in the RJT I'll say go.

I didn't know that powdercoating could do flake like that.

So far so good. I'm pretty happy overall. Unfortunately I had to reprioritize a few things.

But all good.

I'm afraid to say it's good, cause then it'll go to crap in a hurry, but...

I've spent the first week catching up from last hitch... and attending to a few new items.

All in all not too bad. I have to rebuild the fluid end of a tri-plex pump tomorrow... No biggee, just time...

We should be unlatching the stack by Thursday or Friday, then it's on big time... I'll have two weeks to do four weeks worth of work, and no help from shore... So it's one other Subsea guy and I and the rig crew... I'll be wracking up some more OT for sure... Oh well...

The weather is predicted to turn to crap by Thursday or Friday as well with 14-18 foot seas... That's rough on this little cork I work on... I've been on rigs that you wouldn't even notice that kind of wave action, but if it builds that big on here, lots of guys will be taking dramamine and not eating much... I've never been bothered on a rig, but a boat is a different story... I worked on a boat that rocked when tied up to the dock...

24 hours of sailing in 14 foot sideseas proved I didin't get along with winter weather and rocking boats... I was sick for weeks, cause that's how long it was before we got back to the dock... This was right after Katrina...

I went to an ENT doc, and she told me it was time for a career change... which is when I went to rig support with Oceaneering... which led to where I am and what I do now...

I use to get sea sick in Alaska when i first went up there to crab fish as an 18 year old, usually lasted 12 hours of puking and all the good stuff. but i would get my sea legs for the rest of the season on a highliner! 110' House Forward twin screw ina 40 to 60 foot trough will make the mightiest of fisherman sick to his stomach! lol

Glad all is well on the high seas, stay safe brother!!

yeah....i couldn't do the high seas thing. I was out on my brothers boat and was pretty damn good in the 7 foot swells. didn't bother me. dana on the other hand....lol. she got a wee bit sick. then for the strangest reason, we went back into the lydia ann channel (where it's nice and smooth) and while lying on the deck fishing, i started to get sick... what da fudge is up with that....???

Often there is no rhyme or reason to it...

The biggest secret to it is to look off into the distance rather than focusing on close up stuff...

So, back to the build stuff...

Corey said my shortblock showed up yesterday... More later as I find out more...
