I really don't care for the 5th Gen in blue. Any of the current shades of blue.

I think every model, even refreshes, look best in certain colors, and (of course) there will be one or two factory colors that do the least to flatter the vehicle.

IMO blues do look good with white or yellow accents, but of all the factory colors, I think the blues are the least exciting and do the least to compliment the body lines.

EDIT: For what it's worth, I'm certainly not bashing the color...I'd say this car would look better than most any other car on the road, regardless of color. I just find it to be the least complimentary color, by a large distance, and I made a topic about it because I see such a huge fan base for these. I found it surprising.

Also...for those saying this thread is stupid/pointless...the topics I make that illicit those kind of posts tend to go on for several pages, with lots of activity, staying on the front page for quite awhile. I think you guys like posting in stupid topics :P

Actually they only made a few light blue Camaros and I would say that in 20 years these will be the most valuable Camaros collectors will be looking for! JMO.

My dad saw the new Z06 vert in blue on the TV commerical chevy runs nowadays and thought it was hideous.

I was like. DAD ARE YOU TROLLING ME SUPER HARD RIGHT NOW OR COMPLETELY SERIOUS?

He said a Corvette should never be in blue. I see where he's coming from. But that Laguna Blue is so sexy.

Meh, some people like dark color muscle cars, some people like crazy color muscle cars. I think both are great.

Camaros look good in any color.

I just see so much love for blue, especially the darker blue, that I feel like I'm crazy thinking they look very dull in that color.

To be fair, it's far better than the last gen Mustang's metallic drab olive green. Ugh.

I have Blue Velvet, and like it well enough. Yet, I respect your opinion, and can even see where you are coming from. The hood wrap on my 1LE doesn't stand out near as much as it would on Red, White or Silver. The Blue is very dark and looks almost black on cloudy days. You definitely have a point with what you are saying.

I like blue though, and don't think it is quite hideous by any means. They have "Blues" on other makes and models that looks almost purple in some lighting, and some blues that are so bright or light that it looks like it belongs in a baby's nursery. Blue is a hard color to get right, but when done right, it looks good IMO. The Blue Velvet on my Camaro is a solid choice, the blue on the C7 vette is about as ideal a blue as you could get. It isn't for everyone, but it is nice to have at least some selection to appeal to a wider audience.

Personally, I can't stand yellow on cars, but I am glad they offer it for those who do. How do you feel about that magenta color they offered on the 2014's?

I think yellow should be reserved for certain cars...though Camaro qualifies.

As for the magenta...I'm glad you ask, as I feel similarly as I do about the darker shades of blue...it's not quite vibrant enough, not quite dark enough. Then again, I never saw the magenta in person.

I do like that Laguna blue Corvette. Blues aren't bad colors in general, but you are right that they are difficult to nail.
