Like the title says is anyone tracking 5th gen 1le? if you do, can you post some pics and set-ups.? just purchased new set of apex 18's and some CEF 305/30/18 for track only. I just hope I won't be scratching the heck out of the headers. thanks!!

Yeah I track mine but not as often as I'd like. Just a couple times a year. What's the offset on those apex wheels? I'm running 19x10.5 square et22 (bmw specs) with 305/30/19. I run a 5mm spacer on the front and hubcentric ring from apex.

What is the reasoning going to a tire that is 2.5" smaller than the stock tire?

I track my 1LE a few times every summer, but I am running the factory 20" wheels with sticky DOT tires.
No fancy track only set as of yet.

Currently running Yokohama Advan Apex tires at 295/35R20 fronts and 305/35R20 rears.
They have been quite nice! Handling track work and regular driving great.

I have had some Toyo R888Rs at 295/35R20 square on the car right after I bought it years ago.
They were amazing on track but they got over heated pretty quickly and would wear extremely fast. Only lasting 1.5 seasons. About 8 track days.
Right after the Toyos wore out, I got some PS4s at the same size, square.
They were very good on track and lasted a few years.

mine was better tire selection on 18's and prices!

I try and track my 1LE as much as possible.
10x a year or more.
Not this year as the Camaro has been in the shop getting paint work and some minor cosmetic upgrades.
Winter engine upgrades in store.

I still run extra sets of 20” wheels 20x10F & 20x11R with
Bridgestone Potenza RE 070 285/35/20 square
Gladiator X Comp HP 305/30/20 square

BMR-Springs
-trailing arms
-toe rods
-cradle bushings
LTH w/cat delete
CAI
Crank scrapper
Track Windage tray
Oil cooler
Tune
Harness bar
Seats w/harness belts

I definitely need more camber front and rear so that’s next on the list.

I wish there were more 5th gen's at the track. I never see them, just plenty of 6th gen's.

shu92870, I like those 6th gen ZL1 wheels on your car. But damn they seem like a PITA to clean.

Thanks! I've finally got the car setup the way I want it. The driver still needs a lot of work.

Recently installed some delrin rear subframe bushings. What a difference! Wish I had done that a long, long time ago.
