I have to say - that's a much better looking / proper center stack than the gimmicky radio/HVAC controls in the Camaro. And I like the use of real metal on the trim pieces.

I like the dash gauge pods in the Camaro but don't like that they're trimmed out with silver/grey painted plastic. A soft treatment or aluminum treatment would look much better.

Even the accents in the Mustang's door panels look like leather inserts - rather than the shiny plastic stuff in the Camaro.

EVERYTHING else about the Camaro IS and LOOKS better than the Mustang.

Ooh that's a nice interior, even looks like Ford was able to equip the Mustang with automatic climate controls (No knobs ). I still prefer the how the Camaro looks on the outside though, even though the Mustang look good inside and out.

I sat in the new Mustang and honestly wasn't impressed by the interior. It does look better than the current models but the center stack is boring. I don't know what kind of magic lighting they used in their photo shoots, but both the interior and exterior look better in pictures.

Really? Those seats look awesome. Either way I prefer the center stack on the Mustang, IMO it just looks better than the Camaro's center stack. The Camaro interior is great except for the Radio and HVAC controls.

+1 - That is the blandest looking center console I've seen on a new car. Chevy got it right on this car

The Mustang's center stack isn't ugly, but it's certainly very 'pedestrian'. It looks like every other car out there for the most part. Purely average.

I'll take the Camaro's unique interior any day over a 'common' one.

ALL factory nav units should be popup imo. Those big screens are VERY ugly when used like in the Mustang (and most other cars other than the CTS).

Everyone's different I guess. I don't like pop-up nav screens at all. I like a full time screen that's used for more than just the nav - particularly for a reverse camera.

I love everything about the new Camaro EXCEPT the center stack and painted and/or shiny plastics in the interior. IMO, they look gimmicky. The speed/tach ometer pods are another example. They'd look fabulous if they weren't trimmed in painted grey plastic.

Then change them out with chrome or other pieces that some aftermarket company will make shortly after the camaro comes out

I agree. Camaro still wins 10x over for me. But I like the 11' mustang's interior more. (judging by pictures of both only)

With me I just don't care for the center stack on the Camaro, everything else is great IMO. However, I like the seats in the Mustang. They look unique.

A. Shouldn't have to change out stuff. Chevy already knows how to make a first class interior (Malibu, G8) but made some odd decisions in the Camaro IMO.

B. Aftermarket cosmetic accessories don't always look the best either.

C. That Center stack / HVAC area would be a nightmare for an aftermarket company. I think GM wasted their time by going out of their way to make the center stack so unique. It may have received good reviews from the concept car but it didn't translate well in plastic. I would have MUCH preferred a more simple center stack with a double-dinn head unit that actually could be replaced if you wanted to. This is one area that I definitely prefer Ford's direction.

I love the exterior of this car. But I need to see the interior in-person before buying. In pictures, it looks too gimmicky to me: Odd, un-changable center stack, no nav/backup screen, no electronic / automatic HVAC control, large shiny plastic on the doors, grey painted guage bezels, large oval chrome door handles. If I liked the interior 1/2 as much as the exterior, I would've ordered an SS by now.

To each his own.

I love the interior. It's a tribute to the original '69 Camaro.
