The question in the first post is clear. Two No lift shifts behaving differently as shown in the videos. Which one is working as intended, or was the feature in the 1LE tuned differently?

I really would like to hear straight from the team that designed it to confirm exactly how it's supposed to work.
I'm joining the side of NLS is NOT enabled in my car - I have a 2016 2SS

I made conscience effort to watch my tachometer while shifting 2nd to 3rd... rpm was around 4000 in 2nd when I pushed in the clutch... rpm headed quickly toward 6500 by the time I let the clutch out in 3rd gear (nice tire spin in 3rd, that was cool)
I was in Sport/Competitive Mode.

It works in the ss 1le but I've to to see clear proof it works in the standard ss.

Add me to the list. Tried it a couple of times, doesn't seem to work for me so I don't use it.

I have been in the same camp on one or two of these threads as well, though I am leaning toward a new notion:

The feature IS enabled on all manual Camaros, but the criterion required for a successful no-lift shift is more restrictive than previously believed.

My personal experimentation produced a fair number of bumps into the rev limiter and some driveline shock upon releasing the clutch, and a few results that MAY have been the system working as intended, though I haven't had my car produce that fluttering/farting noise seen in some of the YouTube videos that have been proffered as evidence of the system.

So in addition to a definitive answer from Al, I would really love it if he would give us a once-and-for-all checklist of things that must be done to make the system function as intended.

from another thread I see this...
No-lift shifting – Part of the Performance Traction Management system, it allows gear changes without the need for the driver to take his or her foot off the gas pedal, keeping the engine at full boost and maximum power
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=60

I assume 1LE has the "Performance Traction Management" but standard 2SS does not. I don't have NLS.

NLS works great in these cars you need to be above 6000 rpms and 90% tps or greater for it to work. I NLS every gear at the track.

Which of the two videos does yours behave most closely to?

well at "above 6000 rpms" you are just using the standard rev limiter at 6500 ... not what I would call a NLS feature though.

Interesting, when I try to NLS in my old firechicken, the revs go almost instantly to red line. Both the SS and 1le have NLS, as my SS does not quickly rev to redline with the clutch in at WOT, but it does not drop the RPM in prep for the next gear like the 1LE. Clearly different tuning at work.

They both have NLS, but the 1LE is more advanced.

Here's a video of a no lift shift behaving just like mine (similar to the video in the first post)-- thanks to Fillys6 for posting!:

I take it back, I was racing tonight and I did NLS about 3 times during some roll races! definitely works in my 2016 1SS M6 Convertible.

Which video most closely matches the way yours works?

This post covers some level of detail on the NLS feature as implemented on the Cobalt SS and ATS-V, but still doesn't answer the questions from the original post:

works just fine on my 17 SS. you have to get use to it. let off on the gas at all and it grind. Iv only done it a maybe 4 times and the only time it failed was when i instinctively let off on the gas once.
