Prior to my ZL I drove auto shift cars. With the manual the driving experience is more engaging, and you do have an advantage on a road course as you can control the gearing better IMO with a manual. Both transmissions are great in the ZL1.

Ok I think it's time to stop being diplomatic and nice about this beat to death topic. Bottom line when it comes to racing, you have have to drive a manual vs autos at the track. Any track. Drag or road course.

That is the main reason I dumped my 10 sec V auto. I was just in drivers side going for a Ride. Autos are so good now, they do all the work for you. The joy of beating down a high hp auto at the strip while banging gears is priceless. And it totally pisses the other Guy off.

The respect you get banging gears at the track is huge also. Very tough to consistently get off the line and catch a good light at the same time though. I still need a lot of work on that. Ok im done. Rant over. I feel better now
