Gloss Black or Chrome 10 spoke ZL1's on Inferno Orange?

I could use some help on this decision. My Zl1 has the 5 spoke wheels and I'd like to pull them off, as there is some curb rash on each of them. I may sell them or have them restored.

Looking at ZL1 10 spoke reproductions, and I can't decide between chrome or gloss black. I am 50, so chrome has always been a staple, and truthfully, I have never been a fan of black wheels, but the more I see them on an Inferno Oranage car like mine, the more I am liking them.

Black chrome

Picture of your car? I generally don't care for chrome and typically like black wheels, but of course every case is different and chrome can look pretty bad ass too.

Edit: if you're car is stock/no cosmetics have been done I'd say black with the orange would look pretty slick.

I am mid fifties and I always had chrome Cragars or something similar on my cars. It took me awhile to come around to liking black wheels, seemed like something the kids like. I finally bought some and they do look good but are hard to keep clean. I say get both, change them around once in awhile. A girl can never have too many shoes, right?

I have gloss black foose wheels and get dirty right away from the brake dust. I have the OEM pads still though so that may get better with lower dust pads. I am an old fart too and I am kind of leaning toward getting chrome or black chrome if I replace the wheels. I hope to see some black chrome in person at the fest. From pictures I am just not sure.

I say chrome also.I'm 51 and came up with the Cragars and Keystone Classics so I'm in favor of them.

If you tend to lean toward flashy get the chrome. If you want attitude go with black. Either one will look awesome! Good luck in your decision!

I think either would look good but like you I am not a big fan of black. I went with silver as I find chrome does not hold up well.

You could do a Nickle Pearl like the Corvette GS. I just bought a set of Gen 6 wheels in gun metal gray.

Orange and black would look a little too Halloweenie to me. I think some of the gray metallics might look good. They hide brake dust better than either black or chrome too.
