From the looks of things you have be at the track to register and tech on Thrusday? Then qualify on Saturday to be able to race on Sunday! If that the case it'll definetly hurt the turn out! I only live 2 hours away and would love to race but taking 2 days off of work and the weekend isnt going to happen for alot of people.

We'll be there again for sure! Not sure what we are bringing this year yet. Either way, it's a great event and we'll be there to support it! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

You do not have to be there on thursday though if you are you can take part in the early bird party, free food and free product giveaways raffled off with free entry

Friday is a test and tune day and one qualifier so you do not have to be there either.

Saturday is a two qualifier day and true street day so if you plan to race Sunday you have to be there Saturday.

Sunday is race day.

So if you cannot get off work Thur and Friday, you can still participate in the event.

the only day you cannot show up and race is Sunday so worst case, if we are looking at this way, is you need two days for this.

I don't plan on racing my camaro or submitting it into any of the events for that weekend; however, I do want to get the most out of it as a spectator. Since I've never been to an event like this before, or even any race car event, when do you think will be the best days and times to show up? I get off of work on Friday at 8:00pm and it'll take me about an hour to get there, so is it still worth showing up to watch what's going on after 9 pm? Also, when would you recommend spectators to show up on Saturday and Sunday? Is there gonna be cool stuff to see pretty much all day, or should I skip the trial runs and tests and whatnot?

Either way, I look forward to checking out this event and watching all the amazing cars that people have build and modified!

You can probably skip Friday getting off work that late.

You cans also skip time trials Saturday morning as they don't usually get announced. You can use the time to walk the pit area and vendor area though but you can do that all day long.

Qualifying is fun to watch the announcers add a lot of detail so that is good. So 10ish if you want to come for the start of that

Just so you get a feel for what you will be watching, NMCA is a full race series with 11 classes. The LSX Shootout is an add-on race with is 6 classes so you are getting double bang for your spectator buck. You can watch a lot of fine racing or just watch the LSX shootout stuff and then go to the pits and walk around. Your choice. The NMCA classes will give you a lot of variety.

For Sunday you want to get there early. I'd say when gates open so you are sure not to miss any action. We are scheduled for round 1 at 9 am

There are also two cars shows, one for NMCA with various cars and one for LSX cars. You will spend some time checking those out too. Some nice hybrid LSX motored cars usually show up there.

Jon,

Glad to hear you are coming again. Hey, we used your car image on our NMRA/NMCA Lone Star Shootout event flyer. NMCA will partner with NMRA for an event at Houston Raceway Park the weekend of Nov. 12-14. Do you want me to send you some of the flyers with your car? If so, how many. Please e-mail your address to me at swolcott@promediapub.com.

Thanks!

I am not aware of anyone doing tuning at the event but scan the Midway folks and see if anyone them might be tuners and you would want to contact them directly to ask if they can tune ya up
