I am beginning to think along with you guys that the biggest holdup with the cars is the railroad system and the trucking companies. I would bet that the majority of the cars are stuck on trains and in railyards across the country!!!

Mine was at rail yard 14 days until they had a car carrier that would be loaded up with other cars. It had to be fully loaded and going in the direction of my dealer before it would move.
Painful wait, just painful BUT WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

This is the main reason cars are not moving from the rail ramp. The trucking company is going to deliver when they get a full load and they can schedule a truck and driver. Once the car left the train, the truck company (not same as RR) is now the shipper. The present market conditions are such that not many vehicles are being delivered. I was talking to a truck driver who was delivering some cars (mostly Vibes and 1 GMC) to the local B-P-GMC dealer about 3 wks ago. He was asking me how to get to the airport because he had to pickup some rental cars being returned to GM off lease. He said things are real slow for the drivers and and the rail yard lots were empty of cars/trucks because many plant have been shut down till August.

I saw a number of Camaros show up at the rail yard near me on Friday. One of them was orange and there's a 1 in 5 chance that it was mine. But get this: last night (Sat) a hail storm passed right by there. I hope those cars don't look like golf balls, even if one of them isn't mine. I wonder what they'd do if they were damaged? Is it the trucking company's fault? Would they ship them back? Or try to hide the damage? Anxiety level rising...

Salesman just told me that my car was currently on a transport. The kicker is that it was transferred from rail to truck in Ohio for delivery in Florida. Does that sound right? The car was in Ohio since Tuesday and he said it was loaded on a truck Friday. Said it should be here by this coming Friday.

I told him that cars come into Orlando on rail and are then transferred to a truck. Lets hope he doesn't know what he is talking about and it did make it to Orlando on rail... We shall see.

Mine has been in the rail yard since Friday at the latest. Still waiting for word. My dealer told me the 72 hour thing too. My kicker is that the rail yard is less than 3 miles from my house, and the dealer is about 40 miles away.

My car (#6586) has been sitting in Wentzville railyard for about two weeks. Last Tuesday our dealer told us it would be delivered in two days, but on Friday GM customer service told my husband it is still in Wentzville. We are going crazy???!!!!!!!
