Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis?

Can y'all do me a favor ? I bought a Camaro back in November, well it has a Dynomax cat back exhaust...it is connected to the stock headers...does that mean it is a 2.5 or 3 inch cat back? The guy told me it was 3 inch when I bought the car...but how could that be if it's stock headers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To answer your last question. Most 3in catbacks neck down to 2.5 to accept the OEM 2.5in midpipes (cat section) unless you specify that you want it 3in through and through.

Finding out should be easy. Look at the exhaust. If it is the same diameter from the catted connection all the way to the back of the exhaust then it is 2.5 inches. If it connects to the cats and then gets bigger, then it is a 3 inch.

look for a step down in the mid section of the pipe. going from 2.5 to 3. if it same size all the way then its more then likely a 2.5

You can see where it goes up in size. That's a three inch, correct?
