Sunlight through the garage.

So I have to deal with the hot arizona sun and my garage faces west towards the harshest part of the sun (that 4pm kind). I sometimes have my top down in the garage and I can see the hot sun coming thru the garage window panels and just slowly going over my leather. I just purchased some adam's leather products so I will be protecting my leather soon, but should I be blocking those garage windows or just making sure I put the cover up every day?? Does a little sun harm like that?

If it were me I would cover or tint the sh*t out of those lil windows in your garage. Those UV rays will do damage for sure. Just like getting a sunburn through the window of a car.

Tint the windows in garage.

Lowes or Home Depot carries some roll stuff made by Gila. It's made to reduce the UV and also reduces the heat. Easy DIY project....

I would either LIMO tint the windows.....OR PAINT them solid, same color as the rest of the door.

I agree with the tint or blocking off the windows. Remember, only put a cover on the car if it is clean. If you didn't JUST wash the car you will be rubbing dirt into the paint and damaging your finish.

Tint is probably the best option... if you go with a polarize or aluminized film it will block 100% of the UV rays but then you still get some light in there. I had to do this at my last place for the same reason, certain times of the summer the sun would blast thru the windows, if you walked in the path of it almost felt like someone was pointing a heat gun at you. After tinting I still got all the light, but absolutely no heat.

Our conditioner will go a long ways to protecting your interior as well... SPF 65, so its like really good sunblock!

Thanks guys. I paid extra to have the windows in my garage so I definitely am not looking to paint them out. I will be looking into tint/film this week!
