Laps for Charity with Lone Star Camaro Club - September 10, 2011 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

The Details are as follows:

When: September 10, 2011
Where: Classic Chevrolet for food & fun then Caravan to Texas Motor Speedway.
Time: 2pm-5pm at Classic Chevrolet then Caravan to TMS for Laps for Group Picture then Laps around 6:30pm

Post up if you want to join us for the fun !!

More details:

We will have about 20-30 kids from Snowball Express out at Classic with us and we have invited the kids and families to ride with us. The responses from the kids and the families has been VERY enthusiastic. We will have a raffle at Classic to help raise a little money for the cause. We are looking for donations from anyone possible for raffle items. I have a letter asking for such things in a more formal matter, if you would like a copy, please PM me with your email address and I can get that to you. Remember, we are a non-profit for donations purposes. We will also need a few folks to get there early to help set up. Snowball Express will have volunteers to help us take care of the kids.
I am sorry getting some of this out late, but I have had many challenges getting this nailed down. Any more questions, please ask. I know i am forgetting SOMETHING!
OH, the Patriot Guard Riders will lead the Camarovan to TMS, but are still looking for a law enforcement group to stop traffic.

Details about Laps for Charity is as follows:

You're the driver when Texas Motor Speedway opens the Speedway to the public for the last time this year. Experience the thrill of driving your car around the 1.5-mile superspeedway all to benefit the Speedway Children's Charities at Texas Motor Speedway.

Polish up your special vehicle and come on out to "The Great American Speedway!®" on Saturday, September 10, 2011 for Laps for Charity II. Take three laps on the 1.5 mile Super Speedway behind a pace vehicle for just a $30 and have your picture taken in Victory Lane for an additional $10. Once again our fan favorite VIP Laps Experience will be offered for $250. Laps will be conducted for Car Clubs (by reservation) from 5-7 p.m. and for the General Public from 7-10 p.m. No reservation is needed for the General public time.

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend. As most of you know my son is in the U.S. Marines and will be deploying to the combat zone soon (real soon) anyway he will be home for a couple of days in September and has requested that we hold a barbeque on Sept 10 for friends to attend. This will be the last time we will see him for sometime so spending time with him is the priority. Hope everyone has fun.

Actually lowered my car this weekend and got the complete suspension put on im curious compared to last year how she handles through the turns.

maybe this year we can beat the heat and it wont be as bad.
