Since I would just be running for fun (not even to win, just for fun against my own times) me thinks that I will just make do with flooring the L99 on "go"... in 'M' mode... all things traction/stable turned off... and letting the car shift instead of TapShifting.

Yeah, it does make great sense... a launch control of sorts for automatics, which I would assume is lower impact to the drive train given the front brakes are engaged but not the rear... but, it's a mod to the car I don't want to have done.... I know, I know.. it's minor... but, it's not stock and that's where my tendencies lie.
