Amen to that. With practice, this car can surprise. I've yet to meet a Boss 302 or GT500 that could keep up, except a Boss 302 Laguna Seca that was trailered in and was blistering fast. But I have a few upgrades since we last met and am ready for a rematch

It's a shame you don't live nearby. There's a very active local Shelby Club that tracks tons of Mustangs, they keep inviting me to join them. We could bring our Camaros along with your dad and some of the other local Camaros, and have a shoot out. That would be a kick!

Man, that looks insanely fun and insane at the same time! I prefer a little sheet metal around me, LOL. My uncle is Mert Lawwill, he was the AMA Grand National Champ in 1969, so I grew up watching him race and hearing stories. My mom has a newspaper article that talks about all of the bones he broke over the years, more than Evil Knievil (which is quite a few).

Does the car give you the same rush?

LOL, I tend to put my favorite kills in my avatar too. Good memory I'm sure.

Awesome car Orange! I've had my 1LE out for a couple of track days and absolutely love it! I'm very impressed with your mods, looks like you've put together a great track package. I was just wondering if you weighed your 18" tire/wheel assemblies? Just curious how much lighter they ended up being. I'm going to primarily stay with 200+ TW due to some competitive events that I'll be running, but still trying to decide what size tires and wheels to run.

Thanks, glad you're having fun too. I haven't weighed them, but I've read that the stock 10 spoke wheels are 28 lb front and 30 lb rear. Somewhere else I read they are 27 F and 28 R. The CCWs are "in the high teens" according to the manufacturer so I'm guessing 18 pounds. The Nittos are 30 pounds and the stock Goodyears are 29 pounds. So that's about 9 or 10 pounds lighter at each corner. Can't be far off of that.
