Design flaws: you should not be able to turn your body while you're down.
You should not be able to go down 3 times (they may have corrected this, not sure)
When you get stuck, it shouldn't fly off, it should be under the armor lock (they fixed this for multi team only)

I know how to use it effectively, and I know how to beat it-- but you're right it is pretty damn funny when a whole team uses it.

There's definitely a delay with armor lock, however it goes both ways. There's been so many times where I was a fraction of a second too slow, and end up dying because I couldn't lock down in time. It's funny, because when that happens, you'll see the armor lock "burst" as I die, even though I never initiated it because I died. Frustration goes both ways with it, lol

Actually I love that "flaw" when I'm locked down. People will go to my back and I'll quickly pop them in the face as my armor lock burst takes down their shields because they're standing too close. It's cheap and you should be able to only come out of it the way you're facing, but I like it.

You can only really armor lock about twice with one charge, it's only really effective when you're in a hairy situation to stay in armor lock as you request backup.

One of the reasons why I use armor lock extensively is to survive grenades and deflect plasma grenades. I'll run into an area I know an enemy is camping, have them throw the first grenade, armor lock, throw my grenade, then attack them. I usually win because I have full shields while my grenade took at least something away from their shields. I also use it so I can defeat people that have the shotgun, sword, or rocket. My favorite is to take down the guy with the sword, armor lock, *miss swipe, stunned* punch, armor lock, punch, win.

One of my favorite kills with the armor lock, I do not feel bad about this one bit, this kid kept running to the rocket and sneaking around.



When the whole team uses it, it's super effective!

Yea I hear ya. And yea, I do have the anniversary edition. It's funny, I barely played Reach but I dominate the anniversary maps cuz I know the, so well and how to utilize the right weapons.

It's a great when you play against people that probably never played CE multiplayer. They're running around the maps clueless like as you ninja around them and take out their whole team lol

I agree... I've played every halo and the action mini series are great so far. I've been trying to figure out where in the timeline the videos lay as far as the storyline goes with the characters.

Obviously 4 is going to be much different because 343 is doing the game now, and it certainly looks that way. Mechanics and story. I pre ordered and am really looking forward to the story then hours and hours of multiplayer

The timeline with the cadets is roughly 25 years before the first Halo game, and I believe just a few years after first contact at Harvest with the Covenant. The scenes we see in the beginning are between Halo 3 and 4

Meh. I have the Halo Reach X-box and controllers, I love those because they look a bit more authentic Halo-style rather than just a controller with Halo 4 graphics on them. i DO need to get a decent surroundsound headset though... maybe for Christmas

I'm dying of excitement for this game... its gotten so bad that i re-downloaded the halo 2/3/4 soundtracks and put them on my ipod to listen to at work all week until the release.
