Apparently several new GM models were revealed to "Social Media Influencers" at GM's Design studio. And tomorrow GM's CEO is supposed to give a webcast where he will talk about GM's future and reveal some new models, one of which is supposedly the production Camaro convertible!!! DETROIT - General Motors President and CEO Fritz Henderson will conduct a public webcast on Tuesday, August 11, to update consumers and media about the 'New GM' and its product, brand and customer-outreach strategies. Mr. Henderson is also expected to make a product announcement during this time.

New estimate on production release? The last date I heard from the convertible was 1st quarter of 2012.

can't wait...about time...hope it looks good and polished with lots of pictures and i want to see the v6 and v8 versions to see which front fascia i like better on it

forget a conver what about a dovetail spoiler!!! i cant find anything aftermarket or gm. gm has a part number in the sema web site but nothing anywhere else.

Forget the spoiler. I want a 5th gen convertible. I can't wait to drive my 2012 SS vert!

I'm holding out for a 'vert too. My dad had a white one with orange stripes so I want one just like his. He also had a green Z28 with white strips, so GM do me a favor and bring out the Z28 m'kay?

Same say, the seats are made of real human skin from willing donators and that you can't look strait at it or it will attack you. All we know is that it's called the Z/28.

I don't think anyone is awaiting the vert as anxiously as I am. That is all...Looks like I get to watch this at 5am before I go to bed at 6am tomorrow morning.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope the convertible is announced.
