Latest Camaro Reveal Rumor... - Page 2

This rumor certainly could be true. Lately the GM marketing folks seem to love debuting cars in odd places at odd times. They revealed the last Camaro in a garage, the full size pickup trucks in a warehouse in the ghetto, several Cadillacs at Pebble Beach. Who knows what they will come up with. Luckily I think the Camaro is still enough of a big deal that it will get plenty of media attention no matter how badly GM marketing may screw up the reveal.

Or it could simply be revealed at the New York auto show. That doesn't seem like a good fit though, especially with the recent Cadillac move.

I considered this last year, but then said no as well as was convinced we'd see at Detroit. Recently have also said no that this would happen, but as we go along I am starting to come back to this idea. At this point it makes sense to me. I see no issue with doing it.

Hell I remember a prototype 5th gen being on display during the powertour. Didn't even have interior yet.

I'd be thinking GM would be revealing the 6th @ its new plant.

I had thought sometime back and mentioned it on here at Daytona this weekend. I was thinking they reveled it there for the 5th gen and and had a bunch of them. they are also raced in the Xfinity Series. Large audience in person and on TV. Indy would also have a large bunch of viewers in May.

NY will probably be the 1st place the public will get a chance to see and touch etc.....But imho, the reveal will probably be between now and then at an undisclosed location.

If it was to be the pace car for the Daytona 500 it probably would have already been announced by now.
