Stripped nut in spoiler
So I was hoping somebody has some kind of experience with fixing this kind of thing. This isn't necessarily Camaro related.
I bought the cheap Ebay ZL1 spoiler for my 2010 RS. My Dad was helping me put it on and he put one of the screws in crooked. It got stuck and I ended up having to pull the nut out of the spoiler with the screw attached. It's opposite of the OEM spoiler that has the bolts on the spoiler. So my question is how can i get that nut back in the spoiler where it will actually be strong enough to hold? I was thinking to drill it out a little and try to epoxy it back in place. I can take some pics tomorrow if i'm not explaining it well enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

These things work great. And no need for epoxies or fillers. Just order for size hole, or drill to correct size. Used to use these when I had stuff like that happen. These are what they use to hold on windscreens on motorcycles also, so top speeds are no issues. Replaced several on my bikes.

You at least got me going. lol. The expansion nut didn't work because the spoiler was all hollow where the original nut came out. I ended up using a butterfly wall anchor and some 3M automotive double sided tape. It should be good.
