Traction control?

Last week i put a pair of 315/35R20 tires on the rear of my 2010 SS. After i got them on i took it for a test drive. The first time i pulled out on the highway and started to shift thru the gears i got a reduced engine power warning and the traction light came on. I took it home and reset the code with my scanner. Drove it again and was fine that day. Next day i had it out and same issue. It will come and go now. I checked the speed with my gps and its right on the money. Think its the tires or is it just a coincidence and i have other issues?

Put the old tires back on the car, you'll know. Problems gone, it was the tires.

Manual or auto? Do you have a throttle controller installed?

The rear tires have to be the same diameter as the fronts, or else traction control will continue to issue warnings.

Its a manual. I do have a throttle controller on it. I hadnt thought of that. Ive heard where they can cause these issues. Thank you for suggesting that.

I can restart it but its still in limp mode. I have to use my scanner to clear it.

The rears and fronts are the same height. I have 245/45R20 on the fronts.

Agree - same height, shouldn't be an issue. Perhaps you damaged wiring to the speed sensor when changing the tires?

I hope you aren't running the OEM wheels with the 315 tires. That in itself could cause issues.
