TPMS relearn
Having trouble relearning the tpms on my 15. I bought the EL50448 tool off Amazon. Can't get the first one to start after starting the relearn process. Any suggestions?

Put the tip of the tool right on the tpms tire valve . See if that helps...

Alright I'll give it a shot, I tried for about 15 minutes in different positions, holding the button, pressing it once, couldnt get anything. Will try that and report back. Thank you

I think those EL50448 units have gotten so cheap that maybe they don’t work as well. They are less then $20 now. 2 years ago they were $70. I have no problem programming my tpms and I don’t need to “put it on the stem” to do it! Works anywhere on the tire within reason of course. OP, you may have a faulty unit..

That's what I was thinking too. I read a couple posts here that they were quite expensive and also useful so i got one and was surprised the price. Probably will end up returning it and investing a little more for a better one. Dealer wanted to charge me 110 to do it lol

Lol well, discount tire ended up doing it for free. Took 5 minutes. That was nice. So will be sending that tool back and look into a better tool

My local dealer has always done for free for me, just drive in, ask them to relearn the wheels please and they're finished in 5 min.

Dont know if its the same tool as you got, but the one I use at work I have to point it at the base of the valve stem. Preferable where the rubber meets the rim. Hold it tight to the the rubber and point towards the base of the valve stem. Might have to move it around a bit. Hold the button till the horn beeps. Start at drivers frt and work clockwise. Drivers frt, passengers frt, passengers rear, and drivers rear.
The sensor is in the base of the valve stem. |

After finding the guys at the powder coating shop managed to put all my TPMS sensors in different wheels I bought the EL50448 on Thursday it arrived today and had all four wheels relearned in 2 mins I watched a couple of videos on how to do it. Had a friend over for a BBQ and he couldn’t believe how fast the process was to relearn the sensors.
