3.5 years old........but somehow I still remember news reports on TV of the shuttle exploding. My memory's crazy.

I was in the 5th Grade and we were watching it live. You could of heard a pin drop in the class when it exploded. :(

Choking on a quick breakfast at a diner near work (that had a TV) It was quite surreal to watch it live and immediately know "the rest of the story"

6th grade sticking bubble gum under my desk in math class. We witnessed it on TV that day. Although it was a sad event, a few days later the jokes started about it such as: What does NASA stand for in Russia? "Nice Air Show A**holes."

I was a junior in high school sitting in drafting class. We had a TV in the class, so we were watching at the time. We were watching because Christa McAuliffe was on board..

I was 22, and going to community college, and living with my mom in Oak Harbor, WA at the time.

I had woken up early (8am...crack of dawn for me at that time) to watch this because Shuttle Launches, though not uncommon, were still awesome enough to wake up early for.

When the explosion happened, my mom and I were both watching, and were both stunned and didn't say anything for about 10 minutes. Both of us were crying. Or maybe it was dust in the air for me....

I was 20, in college. I was at work when somebody said the shuttle had exploded. :( On February 1, 2003 when Columbia broke up over Texas, my wife and I were in the air heading into DFW when it happened. It took us awhile to figure out why everyone in the airport was gathered around TV's.

At my sisters house watching tv when that happened. We were watching it launch and were just horrified when it happened. Bless their souls.

probably learning how to read or playing in the backyard. I was too young for school. We didn't have cable TV either.
