Red Seat Belts

Hey Guys, I did some searching on here to see if anyone has switched from black seat belts to the red ones? I didn't really find any posts. Didn't see anything on the interwebs about how to. Has anyone switched? If so, difficulty on doing so? Instructions? Don't see why Chevy just didn't offer the option to get red seat belts with any exterior color.
Thanks for any insight.

That and the red stitching is the single biggest complaint I have about my car. I don't even know why you would add this color to like 3 different colors only.

It's stupid...

I don't mind the red stitching and actually like it as breaks up the interior being all blk.
My thing is unless the exterior is all or has some red where did it come from.
It doesn't flow if you get my meaning.
I'm on the fence about the red belts, can't decide if I like them or not. Again did Chevy just decide to throw them on for the heck of it, although it does go with the stitching.

I like the red belts more now than I used to. My preference would be black. I hardly think about at all after almost a year of ownership.

You're right, it should be an option. Personally, I don't like red seat belts and didn't get a black ZL1 as one of the reasons.

I have black belts in my ‘16 SS, and would absolutely LOVE to find someone who wants to swap-out for their red belts!!! Just don’t know how that would work if we had to ship stuff back-n-forth! My car is my daily driver....can’t go without belts for more than a weekend!

I guess to each his own on the color of seat belts but my question is not if you like the color but if anyone has switched out seat belts and if so, the difficulty in the job. I know I can handle the job but I would like to know of any tricks or things to look out for.

I haven’t done a swap (I happen to like my original red belts), but I have torn into my car to go after a noise from the right front seat belt. It’s definitely a bit of work to get them out. You basically need to remove the entire rear seat and all the pillar trim panels and rear side panels. It’s not too bad if you’re experienced in taking apart interior parts on modern cars, but probably wouldn’t be something I’d recommend to the average person.

I was torn between Red and Blue in paint color. The Red belts tipped it in favor of the Red Car. I love them.

I wouldn't have purchased the car without the red belts.
