I work for BRPD and didn't hear about this. I'm going to have to look into this. The scary thing is it looks exactly like my car. When we're these pics taken?

I would not be surprised if it does get crushed. If they part it out then they only take a partial loss. Crushed they claim a complete loss.

I knew the government did a lot of stupid things like digging holes and pushing like new jeeps into them and burying them...that was a while back but it truly happened. I'm sure someone's insurance will cover the loss, but I would sure like to be the crusher operator who mistakenly grabbed the Ford Taurus instead of the ZL1 to crush...

Ouch!!! It's human nature to make poor decisions. At times they have undesired results as in this case....but I think you are correct in that there may be a point in tracking unfortunate mishaps. It could serve as a public reminder to all to keep safety first in mind. This car isn't for anyone to get behind it and stand on the throttle. No Sirrreeee Bob....

The body shop says it can be repaired, but GM won't let them.
I concur! And what an IDIOT who did this to a customers car! I really feel for the owner who was this close to taking delivery. Most people have had to wait on long time to receive their cars, and I am sure he or she is devastated.

That's exactly what I said when I saw the first pix, plus the added factor of the mold release agent still on the tires. Talk about an 2 ton nightmare. Man that's tough to look at. I feel bad for the customer.
