Another why no Nav thread

I just bought a new 3500HD Silverado Dually yesterday and it has navigation integrated in the 2DIN head unit. Why not in the Camaro? They want you to use Onstar instead, which my truck also has but I don't need it for nav. Some kin of marketing strategy. Maybe they figure they can sell Onstar guidance to the younger people that buy a lot of the sporty cars and not the older people that buy more of the trucks.

The 2013 has nav as an option with the mylink. I have it in my camaro.
I believe it was a late availability option on the 2013's

Ditto. It is an option in the Camaro. It was introduced for the 2013 MY.

Know why I didn't opt for Nav w/ my Camaro? My dad taught me how to use one of these as a kid: http://www.randmcnally.com/product/road-atlas

Before all this GPS crap took off you used to be able to navigate by way of paper, and occasionally you'd veer off a bit and find great new places in the country to check out. But I'm pretty sure those days are long gone :(

We still carry one (maps/Atlas) on vacations. It's easier to find alt routes or to actually see where you are wanting/trying to go.

With that said, a GPS is nice when you know the destination and don't plan to make detours.

I didn't get the Nav option. Never was even a thought during the entire process of buying the vehicle. I live in the midwest...if you get lost just keep making right turns and you'll get there.

I did not get nav on mine. If I need it, my phone works just fine.
