Poked a hole :(

(sorry in advanced if I posted in the wrong section, I posted here before about repairs here and no one said anything)
I went down to my dad's place and backup up into a nice trimmed branch.. anyone know how much it would be to repair the hole and small dent?

My dad also told me that my step mom had the same size of hole but by some license plate screws that someone else drove into her trying to park and they patched and painted for $200, he said "well you only have 1 hole and she had two, half price should be it haha" but still no idea what pricing would look like so please help

If it can be repaired then that would be great, but my guess is a new bumper & paint. ~$1k.

I'm thinking this is a correct statement... you'll likely need a new bumper.

...might want to come up with some sweet story about how you were in a gunfight or something... and they had a Barrett...

There's only one way to find out, then. I'm just thinking this is a pretty big hole, and the denting and such... it's hard to say.

say I do get a new bumper, what do I do with this one? what would be a general estimate of the value in its condition?

they can patch that. the only way they replace it would be it costs the same to fix as a new bumper. Looks like about $500 to me. couple hundred to fix, couple hundred to paint.

A new OEM bumper can be purchased for 300 bucks (even less here in the for sale section). Why pay someone the labor to half ass repair this one? You are going to pay about the same price either way. I'd go with a new bumper cover.

Gasket maker, fill in the hole. Smooth it out and let it dry.

Well i have a couple scratches and a little grove dug into my rear bumper from my daughter acceidently closing the garage door and I took it to 3 different places and got quotes of $520-$575 to fix it. If the bumper needs to be removed like mine does, that is what the biggest cost is. Hope that gives you an idea.
