Emissions Readiness (Evaporative Sys) Incomplete
So I had some issues with my car throwing some codes (P2188 & P2190) and I replaced that MAF sensor and that resolved my issue, no more codes and the car runs great.
However.... I can not get the car to pass emissions testing since then. They told me one or more of the readiness monitors were not "ready" yet and that it can take some time after I disconnected the batter to swap the MAF. So.. I read up on how to complete the drive cycle and did that almost every day for a week and still nothing. So Saturday I take it down to the dealer to talk to them about it and they said since my car had historical faults it would take 40 drive cycles to complete all the readiness monitors. So he cleared all the historical faults and said it should complete much sooner now, but didn't have an exact time frame. So it's now wed and I've been driving the car everyday along with probably 2 cold starts on the weekdays once in the morning and in the evening leaving work. SO... I'm wondering do I have an issue with any of the readiness monitors or should I just keep driving it? Last edited by sir574; 11-02-2016 at 08:12 AM. Reason: typo in title |

and their reply... something isn't right here... I passed this same emissions test 2 years ago, with all the same current mods installed.

Congrats on figuring out the codes btw. As far as the monitors, it took almost 2 weeks of driving for mine to be ready after I replaced a part and cleared an evap code.

if you recently reset any codes it could take upto 100 miles for the monitor to be ready

Hey just recently went through this myself after demodding my car from Long tube headers to stock manifolds. I had to follow all these steps below and after like 100 miles it finally reset. Hopefully this helps.

I had to use the tech II. The drive cycle is hit or miss. Car must be cold started 8 hours apart. Can take up to 10 cycles. It's not always the milage...
