Just to follow up..... Has anyone done this upgrade on an auto? I'm assuming 3.55 is still the only option without swapping rear ends.

Yep still only option. Not very many have done this at all, but I would have loved to have 3.55s.

I'd be interested in knowing if it really changed the acceleration. I desired 3.9-4.10 realistically if I was going to do a gear swap.

Not many have done it. I theorize that 3.55 would be a great gear for the v6 as 3.91 seems pretty steep.

Ive asked about the performance gain in going to a lower gear, but haven't had any feed back on those topics….kinda like the throttle body thing….

If tuned right and you have the tires, huge gain. I've only picked up 0.1 seconds so far with the same tires but I'm still working on the tune. I have 3.91 gears in my auto.

I noticed more pick up in the low to mid rpm range with the throttle body. I think it is a great mod. I got mine from APex and it was here in less than 5 days. Quick and easy install. It was just 4 bolts.

They don't fly off the shelf but we do sell the 3.55s from time to time. Swapping to the 3.55s provides an equivalent torque gain of approximately 10% or 27 lb.-ft. of torque. It definitely adds some giddy-up.
