All GREAT answers!
I have an image in my mind of what I want for the final look, I agree that sometimes less is more. And when I'm not 100% sure about something, I wait. Like with my wheels. I hear, from friends and fellow Camaro peeps, a lot of "You need..." this or that... but I never saw anything that really "spoke" to me (no pun intended ). When I did see wheels that spoke to me, I went for it! Just waiting for the powdercoat and paint to be done (pics will be added when they're done, I promise...)

When doing mods one at a time it is very very important to have a final goal in mind and set up a plan to get it accomplished. If you use the what ever appeals to me at the moment plan you will do and re do things especially if horsepower or track time is one of the goals. I am one of those who many would say has spent too much on mods but over a three year period, with a plan, I am almost finished and have not had to re do any mods. Good luck and good planning.

I set up different stages that I would like done. Each stage has its own list of things. Example: stg 1 cai, catback, heritage grill. Stg 2 headers, tune, .... Fill in the blanks. I'm up to start my stage 3. After that I may get into my 4 a little bit. My stage 5 is the last one. It's the most expensive and I've come to the conclusion I probably can't do it. Stroke and supercharged. I'd suggest to chip away at your list in a similar fashion so you can realize how expensive and addictive this hobby is. I do all of my work myself except engine internals.

I'm doing mine bit by bit. And to help save money I will. Do as much of the work as I can in my garage on in the base auto hobby shop. It also helps that the local club will help with installation if I run into something that I'm just not sure with.

I have never been "DONE" modding any of my cars. I do mods in chunks and get to a stopping point for a while...but if I had 20k to spend in mods right now I could totally do it....Maggie,coilovers,cam,heads,valvetrain. Next big mod is ZL1/NPP catback then I gotta cool it for a bit and recover. All of my previous rides got traded or sold before they were "DONE" by my standards.
I'm not getting rid of this one though. This has been by far my most fav project!

That's great if they have $100k to spend... but, in my mind, if I had over $100k to spend on a car, I'd get a car that was worth $100k... JMHO.

Very addicting if you don't have control of yourself! (Talking about me)a fellow member told me when i start "get a theme set up of how you want it! If you don't do this, you be spending a lot of money changing things..." Always keep this in mind when i go for my next mod... But i'm to far away from done!!!

I think many of us could of got a nice $100k car, but its way more fun to modify and make it your own. Look at the ZR1, its a $100k+ car, but its a vette that looks the same as others. We have members that do insane bodywork, crazy engine builds, and I LOVE the diversity of camaros on this website!

I guess it all depends on what you have in mind. I know some people on here think my orange stripes look awful and with the few mods I have done, they think I have gone overboard. My husband and I like our look. We did the wheels, stripes and the gas cap. That's it but other people think it's ugly.

I have done most of my major mods, now I do the ones that are not very expensive, like painting parts of my interior and exterior.

My car is very stock, and I like it. I can't be the only one who likes to keep the look relatively stock.
