Looks great, but you could also have someone powder cost them for the ultimate paint job . . . just a bit more cash tho.

Honestly, these came out amazing and I get compliments saying they look factory. I was looking into powdercoating these down the line, but probably won't now since they look great as is.

Looks nice! how easy was it to install the decals? Do the adhesives hold on well? My decals may need changing sometime down the road.

Thanks guys, decals are as easy as any other decals with transfer film.

hey @SSessence, sorry to join the party late I hadn't seen the post until now!

The calipers look really nice, good work. I did the gold G2 kit last winter (me and you have a very similar car and wheel combo). I think the bright colors really help our silvers car silver wheel combo.

I also agree with the brush for doing the project. Went with like a wide and narrow foam brush from craft store and made it sooooo much better. No lines, no bubbles, no nothing. Cheers to some nice looking wheel wells now

I'm not sure whats going on, but I bought the red g2 kit and it came out orange. this was after I bought "red" caliper paint which turned out orange as-well so I bought two different high temp paints and mixed it myself and will be putting this into my paint gun, hopefully it turns out red this time lol.

Sweet man, the gold looks great contrasting the silver wheels, great minds think alike. Your build is going along great!

Your picture looks red to me and pretty much the same as mine? Are you looking for a different shade of red?

It's a lot more orange in person, the cameras exposure must be acting against me lol. But I compared it to my buddy's 392 and mine looks like a orange banana. Here is with the paint I mixed just roughly painted onto it, now of course the camera makes it look pink but is red in person, or so my eyes make me believe it is. Going to strip all the paint off soon and redo it.

Edit: sorry for the sideway picture, I still can't seem to figure that out.

I would maybe contact G2 and see if they sent out the wrong color in the bottle. They may send you out a free new kit, mine was bright red straight out of the box.

Yeah I am not sure what the deal is, the can is marked red but came out orange. Not bashing the company or anything, I used their silver in the past and it's awesome stuff. Next best thing to powder coating really. And I sprayed it with my paint gun and was pleased with the results, just not the color. Anyways, yours look great!

Inspiration

I've been wanting to paint my calipers for quite some time and a buddy quoted me about $400 to paint them at his body shop. I almost did it until I read your post and saw your pictures. You inspired me to try it myself. No one will mistake mine for factory but I'm really pleased with how they turned out. Thanks for the inspiration SSEssence! (Sorry for the sideways pictures, not sure how to fix that...)
