2015 Production numbers (and totals)
Ok, so here goes. Some of you know, I just recently left GM to return to TX. While I was with GM I took on the project of verifying 2015 Production stats, and now here they are. It took me 3 years total basically, its not hard to do but I do have an 'actual' job to do so it was an off/on project for 3 years. I finished it this summer, verified my numbers, submitted it to GM heritage center. That said, here is what this is. Production stats for 14/15, include CTF and Production (for US and Can). What I did not do, mostly because it didnt cross my mind was break down Canada individually. I managed to go back through and get Canada numbers, but only for a small portion (517 of 1292). I found 58 Canadian cars of those 517. I found out some fun facts along the way. Zslash28's is pretty much on queue with his wrecked/salvage numbers. We are at about 40 or so cars gone. Also:
1) CTF #3 for MY15 was in my group. 2) There is still 2 production cars at MPG 3) There is still 2 non-saleable cars at MPG ( Autocross practice car and an asshauler) 4) Al O has a LEGIT 1 of 1 MY14 Z/28 5) 1 of the 58 Canada cars never made it to its destination and was scrapped. I do not know why. I suspect this is why there is 1801 numbers, and not 1800 even. 6) Car #666 is black-non AC...pretty sure that was on purpose! 7) The MY14 discrepancy that keeps cropping up is false. The original number given out suggest an extra 5 or 6 cars, but those were NON-production cars that get thrown in the garbage can. EX vins are in the database, which explains why that number was inadvertently passed out. But, again, they are non-production EX vin cars that get pitched in the dumpster. Numbers are MY14 (509)+MY15(1292)=1801 8) Overall Silver is the rarest color at 79. Individually AGM+C42 is the rarest at only 9 built. Silver +C42 is close second at only 11. |

Thanks for your efforts, greatly appreciated. Some interesting data, nearly half of 2014 SIM production were non AC,only two for 15 with much higher volume. I am a little bummed another 15 non AC SIM car was built, as i own the other. I'll hope one day to find out it was for the canadian market,LOL. Thanks again!

Thanks for update and final specific numbers. This is a great piece to be used on down the line for documentation purposes!
No matter the color, we all are enjoying a great car - so glad GM decided to build it and take out all the stops! I have attached a pdf taking the work done by RADRACE19 - early on documenting the 2014 CTF cars (and all 2014's) and added more catagories to show production and CTF for 2014 and totals and percentage of total by color and build. Just more slices of the same pie Updated Attachement with 2015 CTF Car's Thx to all who contributed! Last edited by Supercup; 09-23-2018 at 11:30 AM. |

Thanks Marcus, great work! I thought there were a lot of white ones because I bought one! Mine is one of 427, if you count 2014, and 2015. Coincidence??????

Ive got the 2015 CTF cars identified. Ill post it later.
Marcus, i recall chatting with you early on, and its a fine capstone to your time with GM. Thank you for putting this together! It looks like my 2014, AGM is rare. Time to moth ball it for the next 30 yrs.

Thanks for the great work. Do we know how many have gone over seas or no longer in the U.S.? Our cars will continue to become more rare over time I believe.
