Yah Musk is going to have more power. It seems at odds with the potential increase in domestic oil production. Maybe Tesla straps a rocket to a Model S and makes the ultimate muscle car.

Musk is on record as being in full support of ICE production. He believes in letting the market dictate, not govt.

Also, he may very well become the director of a new cabinet position: the department of Govt Finances or similar name. In essence he’s proposed $2b in govt departments cuts.

Bye bye EPA!

I'm sure the EPA will survive, but I look forward to the days of over-regulation and bureaucratic tyranny soon being over.

I do look forward to the elimination of the non-existent and irrelevant EV mandates to destroy ICE and the fossil fuel industry. The social engineering to foist unnecessary hardship on the population will soon be over.

Good times ahead.

I don't think many people even know how restrictive these emissions laws are. The duplication by CaliforniaAirResourcesBoad CARB is an example. That whole thing should be eliminated. EPA already does that but they can nanny the heck out of people that you can't use an ICE water pump in farm fields or generator without permits and strict clean air that is not really clean air because carbon dioxide is wrongly termed pollution. I look forward to common sense in emissions and I think the market can mostly self determine by efficiency and practicality what type vehicle is best for them.

I had just mentioned CARB CRAP and here it pops it's head up again. Not much good to say, except bipartisan opposition that's a start. We won't talk politics but you don't see that often.

The board voted to pass it. The Climateer madness continues unabated....at least for now. Hopefully the punishment of the average citizen can be stopped soon, with some help from the new administration.

Hopefully you will be paying much, much less than that in the near future.

Good luck and congratulations.

Because of EPA CARB and taxes I'm at $4.50 as I just filled yesterday to get fresh gas from it sitting nearly all the time.
$2.85 is a big factor to consider in this EV thread on economics of BEV or Hybrid or just your old existing car truck. Yuuge factor Like no ones ever seen.
