I dunno if our cars would sound like that since of the DOHC vs the OHV of the 3.8 in the older camaro. But it would be nice if it id kinda sound like that.

The lope of the exhaust is caused by the profile of the cam, not the number of cams. This is a cammed 2003 DOHC Mustang.

1500 is to much for my blood, just for cams, im wondering why its taking so long, dont all they have to do is grind the stock cams down or is it something to do with the cam phasing making it difficult.

1500 would be fine for me if it could deliver serious gains, but 18-22 hp is not enough.

Yeah...1500 is pricey! Im looking forward to seeing what MACE produces, hopefully they can keep the price at the $1000 mark. Doing their fabrication in house should help speed things along too, I think the tuning will be the only hold up if any. Did they say how many different profiles they'll offer or any comment on the spec?

I've posted this before but removing and replacing the cams in a 3.6l is actually easier than doing it in a pushrod motor.
They have a tool that holds everything in place and they pop them out and put,the new ones in.

you are not going to see that big of a gain with just cams. Usually the other half of the gain and sometimes more come from matching with full head work, porting of the intake manifold, exhaust and intake.

If I remember correctly, I believe the price will be somewhere in the 1000-1100 range for the set of 4. Mace should have some dyno numbers soon

Aaron, you can pick up the high feature v6 kit from eBay for like 300-400 if you are lucky and that include everything you need to change out cams and heads. bmwdon had a set he was trying to sell.

scrubby, so I assume you are planning on cams to suit your porting? do you plan to finish up the head with a valve job and etc..while you are at it??
